I knew Joel. He did work on my 1967 Corvette and 1969 Camaro SS. Spent many an evening talking with him and Judy at the shop.
He told me that he had no idea there was such a thing as the COPO program in 1969. That's why he was ordering L78 Camaro SS cars in 1969 and replacing the short block with the L72 427.
