I use the black SPI epoxy as well, but don't top coat it. The sheen is very near factory by itself and the paint is very hard and resistant to chipping. It is also UV resistant and on a chassis isn't going to see much daylight. I had 2 frames powdered and won't anymore. Once they get a chip, the rust grows and crawls along under the powder like a mole.
