Traded in a 61 T-Bird on it when purchased new. Says the OO was a machinist...I'll bet he made that strange looking shift knob. Seems like a nice car for the $$$.

I keep looking at that shift knob and wondering if it was factory... It is a cool car and I really like the color combo. Seems the price is very reasonable in this crazy world, just isn't in the recognized "investment grade" years of "real" muscle cars, I guess.

true, missed it by a year. LIke the first 'GTO' a '64 but not officially called out and badged as one. Though it is considered the beggining of the 'muscle car' era by some. Still they get little love, most opting for the sexier '65 and above year GTOs.

This is my old '64 442 with the correct factory shifter.

I like the Ford underdash A/C unit with the bullet in place of the ford logo. Maybe machined that too?
