Compatibility is usually a matter of what cast the color has, which often isn’t evident until you put it next to something else. It’s why Khaki shirts and shorts are such a b!itch to match and you can’t tell until you put them on! ‘63 Daytona Blue/Red was a factory recommended combo, and the dark blue has a subtle purple/red cast that doesn’t fight the red. I think of LeMans Blue as a pretty pure blue, but it probably leans away from rosy red and causes some dissonance for folks.

That color combo is just sex on wheels for this guy!
