The station wagon kit was made by a local fiberglass shop called Vic's Vetts from Lake Minntonka Mn. He made around 500 of them.

He is still alive, but was in trouble in the late 70's-early 80's. He tried to ping off his business partner through an arson job, and finally got convicted for it 5 years ago. From what I heard, he is doing life in prison now.

There are a few of them around here yet...like a handful. We had one in the shop for many years...and they were cobbled up. A friend of mine that worked for Vic did one of the last few ones, and he told me about how crude Vic did things. From what Matt told me, Vic prefered on using Corvettes that were builders from the salvage auctions, and build them to keep the costs down.

He must have just pulled a mold off a Ecklers station wagon kit and then blocked off the windows to make his different.

I had a Ecklers kit one time and it was exactly the same including the flairs on the wheels only it had a place for plexiglass windows on each side.

I can understand his using wrecked vettes to build something like that with. Made more money on it that way.

I know Viv was doing them back in 68. Its just too bad that one has to go to the pokey to find out about wagons.

Don't know about you guys, but my guess is he got 5 years for the arson, and then the Judge (who must have been a car guy) saw his work and he got another 50 years for doing that to a Corvette. Just my 02 cents.
