Default Re: L-88 block

L88's can have unusual stampings. A good friend has a 21,000 mile '69 L88 that keeps getting questioned about unusual characteristics in the build derivative. Seems that many think that it is "Not Typical Factory Production". On its own, it probably is unusual, but when you compare it to an L88 that was built 50 cars before this one the abnormalities mirror each other.
If anyone was at Bloomington in June, you saw the steam on the field from this controversy.
Many with good authority felt it was legitimate, especially since the car had received a Survivor award the day before. I'm not saying this block is legitimate, but the "T" stamped much heavier and separately is not a knock out factor.
