Rick,
I blew the photo up and those look like Impala crossed flags to me and not the SS emblems. No one knows how many SS convertibles were made in '61, but I do know of ONE. It was found in NE Pa. and restored many years ago. The only known production numbers that have surfaced are # of 61 409s (142) and # of SuperSports (453). The 409s were produced in a variety of body styles and not all in SuperSports as many magazine articles state.  Verne
