This car was at our Shop/Nickey Chicago, for inspection last year. It is a nice driver quality car. It appears to be an Original small block SS.

There is a letter from a previous owner saying that he knows it is a Nickey. A tire receipt with what was to be the original owners info and a Nickey cataloge with the same individuals name on it.

Don Swiatek inspected the car and there was no proof, evidence what so ever that the car had been sold out of Nickey or Converted by Nickey.

This car is not included in the Nickey Registry at this time.

You guys are good. This the car I was fishing about. The current owner hasn't been able to convince me its real. I am just dumb enough to believe someone would be able to say "sure its a real Nickey and here is how I can prove it"
I guess he is never gonna be able to prove it either..??
Thanks Again Robert H.

Robert...Did the seller disclose to you that the car was inspected at Nickey last year and that they would not include it in the Nickey registry ?

If you want one just buy an original and chop the roof off, then you'll have the only real one around.(ooooooo im going to hear about this one).

Is'nt there some supercar vette roadsters around?

would the Pete Estes built 68 Z28 convertible be considered a Supercar or just a 1 of 1?

Charley...I think, if I remember correctly, the way the conversation went was something to the effect "that someone at Nickey got a look at it" he did say his name (a grandson maybe) but I don't recall what it was. But the fact it was not included in the registry after an inspection was not brought up, that I recall. So back to my original question; Can this car be proven or not?

It doesn't sounds like it can at the moment or the car would already be sold. I think it is a case that you would have to research owner history( a short list it sounds like)to get pictures, affidafits, etc.
