W
![]() Of course it's not mine to decide, sure wish it was...and not to do the boys out of work either, but as things progress I can't help but feel even more strongly than previously for consideration of the car being left overall as the battle-scarred unrestored survivor it is?. Yes to the mechanical internals restored also more cleaning/detailing too and even the few parts necessary replaced w/ originals but overall I can't stop feeling how this car is simply one of the sweetest original finds a fella could ever dream of and even though it'd still be amazing restored, I'm just having trouble thinking of the day it's painted?. How'd the Go-Jo paint cleanup turn out?. ![]() ~ Pete

I spent some time on Sat with the SCW crew and had the pleasure to lend a hand cleaning the Dana...Without a doubt this is one KILLER 68.The amount of details to be learned from this car are unbelieveable.Anyone with a passion for Camaros will be weak in the knees looking at this one...Thanks SCW !

Having Big Steve and Bob from Ohio lend a hand in the clean up Saturday was a huge help. We had an unknown amount of different chemicals working on the old Naval Jelly. From GoJo to Super Clean, to orange based solvents etc. In the end old fashioned hard rubbing with a hard plastic scrapper did the deed. We found even more cool factory screw-ups, like the passenger side being drilled for the standard rocker mouldings, and the driver side done correctly. The way the black out on the rockers was applied was sparse to say the least, and the over-spray patterns in the jams sloppy. But the black is gloss, make no mistake. Steve was amazed at the air conditioning detail on the radiator support. Points that are argued at other sites, were seemingly answered with this car...Again thanks for all your eager help...BKH

Big Steve...thanks for the help cleaning up the ol' girl and those hard to find parts you supplied at Carlisle. Too bad we couldn't get 'em on before judging.
