I love this thread, and was quite surprised to see my old W31 in it. You must have got that photo from my Flickr site.
Here's another photo of it with slotted mags. ![]() |

Did you work at a Pontiac dealer?

![]() I worked at a lot of dealers, doing striping and other add-ons for new cars. This dealer was Carter Pontiac Buick in Burnaby, BC, my biggest customer. I was there almost daily. I did GM warranty decal replacement for the Trans Am hood birds and other large decals that body shops were afraid of. I did that for a lot of the GM dealers in the Vancouver area in those years. Did a lot of the anniversary Corvettes too, as none of them ever came from GM straight. [ QUOTE ] Did you work at a Pontiac dealer? ![]() [/ QUOTE ] |

I bought a brand spankin' new 1975 Pontiac Astre and drove it all through college. I got 113,000 miles out of it before I traded it on another new car. The engine had a 60,000 mile warranty under which I had the valve seals replaced at 59,100 miles at no charge. Other than that, I had no mechanical issues whatsoever. I guess I was one of the lucky ones!
