I hope to read more about or be shown links as to how to disable my truck and trailer. Is there not a GOOD tool that wedges and locks beween the trailer tires........also that long bar fastened to trailer wheel looks OK (???)

I can't stand a thief .. I hope the cars and the rig are recovered. While I was away from home a while back my neighbor ran off a couple of guys scoping out my place. I had just brought home a rough 68 Camaro and it was sitting out back next to the garage. The neighbor told me he saw two guys pull up in front of my house in a truck with a car trailer. They looked through my front door and my back door then proceded to the garage and were in the camaro and one was looking through the garage window. When they saw my neighbor coming across the yard they ran to the truck and left. Thieves are getting bold ...... Again, I hope they catch the scum and retrieve all the property.

I think it's time to look researching GPS tracking devices. Lojack, Onstar or Mobile Guardian...there's got to be an easy, inexpensive way to install & track 'em so it doesn't happen to any of us

Tracking devices are fine.........but I'm surprised more of you arent more pro-active about actually preventing the truck/trailer from MOVING...........as in disabling..... with the misc wheel, ignition, fuel lock devices......

How could the truck & trailer be "seen & chased" , 911 called right away, and, they got away without a trace. That's a shocker.

Darren, you should report what you saw to the police.

While most of you recognize I've posted this picture before "with a laugh" in mind, I REALLY believe this is the only way to protect your cars.

The two things I've done with my truck is a "buried" kill switch AND a hidden fuel shut-off vavle.

As for the trailer, I bought two measured lengths of REAL hardened steel locks and chains (not the HomeDepot kind), but the kind that has to be aceteylen torched to cut and locked both left and right rear wheels together. If you're not up to this, then sleep in your truck/trailer with your gun.....

Sure seems like its getting worse I hope you guys find the cars.
We got our motorhome for just this reason well one good reason anyway sure makes travling with the car better.
when I do tow with the pickup and have to leave it (never overnite) I pull the relay for the fuel pump and take it with me.
The wife wanted me to get plates with (ZL1 N TOW) and I wouldn't even do that I don't want anybody to know what I have in the trailer.
Also have a wireless driveway alarm you put the box where someone gets where he shouldn't be and it sets off an alarm that's plugged in to 110 it works great for $79 from northern.we used it to catch some thiefs getting fuel from our irrigation well about 300 feet from the house it worked great

These guys have done this before and are probably following us (car people) around. My guess they know collector cars well and are members on many car sites. The best we can do for now is to make yourself a univiting target. I always would use numerous locks in plain veiw and no advertising of what's inside.
