WOW!! You saw some great artists! Now our generation is dealing with the transition that our parents went through with their musical heroes. It's just part of life I guess. Brian Wilson just yesterday. So concerts I've been to? A lot! Do you want opening acts too?? My first was Chicago in 1969. I still have my ticket stub and program from that show. I’ve saved most of them, passes too. So let's see, Genesis Lamb Lies Down 1974 tour, Peter Frampton 1976, Deep Purple, Gentle Giant, Rainbow, Alvin Lee, Judas Priest, Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons, Gino Vannelli, Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Beach Boys, America, Jefferson Starship, Doobie Brothers, Styx, Robin Trower, Kansas, Pat Benetar, Saga, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, U2, Grateful Dead, Dixie Dreggs, Ted Nugent, Yes, Genesis (post Gabriel), Peter Gabriel, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Starz, Starcastle, Kiss, The James Gang, Dexys Midnight Runners, Angel, Lover Boy, Eddie Money, Van Halen, The Black Crowes, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Walter Egan, The Hooters, The Outlaws, Rush, Supertramp, Kansas, Heart, Jethro Tull. I probably forgot a few. Many I saw more than once over the years. Lots of great memories. I wish I had seen Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd back in the day.

When I was in high school, one of my best friends uncle owned or worked for Shoun (spelling) Productions and we got free tickets to every concert that came to town. Aerosmith, REO, Ted Nugent, Nazareth, etc, etc. Never got to see Pink Floyd, Rush or some other favorites but who's complaining.

Elvis only performed 3 times outside of the U.S.In Toronto,Vancouver and here in Ottawa. He was supposed to perform in Montreal but the Catholic Church kicked up such a big fuss that the concert moved 120 East to here. The Church threatened ex communication to anyone who attended! My mother wasn't worried about that and she bought 4 tickets. She took me and my cousins Tommy and Elizabeth. The concert was at the Auditorium,an old hockey rink. All I remember was how loud the screaming was and Elvis' gold jacket! My mother told me that I covered my ears for most of the show.Apparently Elvis had a cheese sandwich and a carton of milk after the show.1957.

I have seen lots...and will probably forget a few. Luckily for me, my daughter Holly loves the same music I do-so we continue to see bands to this day
70's and 80's:
Later on until now
I know that there are others that I am forgetting! Oh yeah, Ted Nugent's mom...lived two block away from us-in Palatine, Il. I trick or treated at her house...LOL

Oh, boy, good question. That might difficult to answer. Recently I saw David Gilmore. Probably the best lighting and Fx I've ever seen. Sounded great too!
Each show had their moments. Kiss with the pyro was pretty cool. That got me started with stage pryo. Grateful Dead was very colorful LOL!! I was grinning all night watching the crowd. One show that was very cool was Emerson Lake and Palmer on the Brain Salad Surgery tour, mid 70's. It was the first tour with a quad PA system. Being an audio guy I loved it. It was an outdoor show at Rich Stadium in Buffalo. They were panning instruments all the way around the whole place. For those that were partaking in the herbal stuff it had to be mind twisting! One other show that sticks out some was at the NY State fairgrounds Syracuse September 2, 1975, The Great American Music Fair. It was a mud-bath! There were all kinds of problems with that one. There's actually and article online about it. https://www.syracuse.com/vintage/201...e_great_a.html Genesis and Rush always had a great show. I remember going to see Rush and thinking how the heck is Geddy going to sing, play bass AND keyboards at the same time. Insane to watch/hear and he didn't miss a beat. Those big concerts in the 70's were nuts. Oh, yes Aerosmith on the Toys in the Attic tour. Great show! I pissed Steven Tyler off. I had my camera and I was up front in the center. At the time I was using a flash. At one point the roadies came near me and waited for me to take another picture. When I raised my camera they tried to grab it. At that point I was done taking pictures. I didn't want to lose my camera or get kicked out. If you like a great blues show, go check out Joe Bonamassa. Awesome show and the keyboard player used to play with Stevie Ray Vaughn.
