Thanks for the info Bill...very interesting stuff and quite the position to be in as the son of a GM VP!.
Wonder what happened to that original Owens-Corning L88 hood that was floating around last year?.

Great you're here Bob!.

Joey's times are amazing for a SB car!.

Gotta ask, would Joey be related to Tony DeLorenzo of Road-Racing fame?.
Tony was most famous for his rides in the Owens-Corning Team Corvettes...Don Yenko co-drove on a few occasions too..
I may be wrong but seem to remember reading that Tony's father may have had some connection or worked for GM?.

I don't think Joey was not related to Tony. He had never said anything, and I knew who Tony was back then. Bill did I sell you a car back in 69?

------I dunno, Bob. I tried to buy the green ZL1 off the floor of Scunzio sometime in May 69, I think, but after driving it couldnt justify the extra "jack". Then went back to the Cape and bought a 396/350 Garnet red Camaro SS from the Chev dealer in Falmouth. If we met, maybe it was thru Tony P as I knew him back in the day, and he is still a friend today.........Bill S

See other posting to help Bob and Ed out.
Come on people. There's a lot of you out there.
Draginwagon. . .
P.S. Having grown up in RI, and being of the "age".
I watched a lot of thier cars kick a lot of butt.
Scuncio was up there with the best of them.

I have some paperwork, most of it is from 1969 but I do have some 1970 stuff. I worked for Scuncio from 1961-1991 and was the only one to order and sell high performance cars,If you need more info send me an email.

Any LM1 realted time slips, racing pics etc are very welcome!

Am I correct in assuming that the 69 red convertible in the pics is the car that was used in the 72 record application?

Any other info on Joe? I googled him , but did not find much.

Thanks Guys,

Rich
