Re: approx Value? 1970 Z28 COPO 9796
[ QUOTE ]
I changed the color to black in the 80's as I could not find a factory black car to buy and wanted a black car. [/ QUOTE ] Black was not a factory option color in 1970 on the Camaro so if your car is a 1970 Z/28 the only way you could get a black car was by ordering special paint or like you did, paint it yourself. You'll find very few special paint cars. Rick H. |

Re: approx Value? 1970 Z28 COPO 9796
I had the exact same car except it was originally citrus green repainted the forest green. Still have the original build sheet that I found under the pass. side seat . I sold the car in 1987 or so for 7k .. I sold it too cheap as I had people beating the door down to get the car.. completley unmolested 80k mile car at the time .I bought it out of Oregon & it had the personal Oregon plate RPO Z28 . It was one of my favorite cars I ever had.

Wow!
Are these 70 Z28 CoPo's really bringing in that much? Just for a spoiler package? Might have to talk to a guy I know with one!
