This is the kind of stuff that makes working on cars a pain in the a$$........I bought the door seals from Soft Seal....never had a problem in the past.....Installed the Driver side seal after spending a 1/2 hour figuring out which seal was for which door (rh-lh) and then the starting position to get the pins to line up with the holes in the door.......they have a Red starting pin in the seal....but no directions as to where that pin go's to start the assembly.......finally figured it out (actually.....I asked my wife cause she know's everything).......after installing the seal .....I "TRIED" to close the door.......No way is that door going to close...........got online and ordered the Steele gaskets......hopefully they will fit better...It just amazes me that they get away with selling something that isn't even close......I can't even close the door enough by forcing it to get it to the second latching position.........Anyone else have any advice.....can't find NOS seals........SoftSeal vs Steele????

O.K. .......After cooling down and going back in the garage after my "Nap".........the seal seems to have compressed itself with the door partially closed and I pushed it and it shut........I would have bet that it would never have closed...........Oh Well!!!.....She told me that would happen.......
I took the Nova out of the Bubble and it wouldn't start in the driveway even though it started easily earlier....ended up just being corrosion on the + terminal....next year I'll disconnect it before storage....Duhhhh!!!

Ken,

Looking Great....I too had problems with Soft Seal.....I have never gone back ever since I switched over to Steele Rubber Products. How ever NOS rubber is always the first
choice. I can still find NOS rubber for Chevelle Post Sedans...so I`m sure you can still find an NOS pair for your car. I`ll keep my eye open for you.

Dan.

I'm going to replace the Door seals with Steele seals, they should be here on Wednesday.....Assembled the front Sheet metal and installed the grill assy.....I have the Bumper/Lower Grill assembly assembled and ready to go on, But I ran out of new 1/2" bolts for mounting otherwise it would be on the car......Waitng for the Seat Covers and Windlace to show up (Hopefully this week) so I can get the Headliner put in and get the front and rear glass put in....still waiting for the new Radiator that is also supposed to be in this week also.....My target when I started this Project was to be Finished in the 3rd week of May.......

Dang...you've got cars spread out all over...

Nice shot of the trailer with the SYC logo framed by the trees.

I think that you should leave off the front bumper...

Still looking awesome ...
