90 degree boot ends at the spark plug is for a small block. They read AC Delco Packard SS550. I have a set on my 69Z. I also think they say 3Q84.

Tach is the original Dixco HT/x, electric hood mounted which was installed as part of the Yenko conversion. It is indicating faster than actual with the Mallory Coil. I will need to figure out the appropriate resistance to calibrate it better.

The article was originally going to be on the Deuce in stock trim. So the first photo shoot was shot near the end of September and the Nova was stock (except for the slapper bars). I picked a picturesque setting at Saguaro Lake Ranch north of Mesa, AZ. I had been there before and thought it would make a good back drop. The camp dates back to the 40s and is operated by the same family. They lease the land from the Fed Gov't.
Here are a few shots I took (after mimicking what Jeff Koch did ). For those of you familiar with the area out here, the last shot has the Salt River in the background - great for tubing in 115 deg Wx ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I've been talking to Terry about the whole day-two movement for about a year now and he increasingly warmed up to the idea. He liked what MCACN was doing with the "Day-Two Concours" thrust. The problem was convincing his bosses. When he took the idea to them, they told Terry "what's 'day-two'?". Well, Terry hung it out there and convinced his bosses to have confidence in his choice. To appease his bosses he defined "day-two" on the cover: "RETRO SPEED PARTS........FOR PERIOD PERFECTION" Terry also chose to write about the surge in day-two in his editorial, which makes for interesting reading. Sooooooooooooooo, if you like day-two send the editor an email [ tmcgean@hemmings.com ] - he said that is what will sell the bosses on future features of day-two'd muscle cars.
