The Longest Day...
Today is June 6th, 2021...the 77th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy. It is important to remember all those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom on D-Day.
The photo below is a local navy veteran and his wife...he served as a gunner on a landing craft at Omaha Beach, he was wounded in the battle. They have been married for over 70 years. Lest we forget  https://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/d-day

So great you bring this forward each year Wilma which is the first I've seen/read/heard about it so far today, such disrespect by our country's leader's is outright shameful also are we the people they've helped forget. I had an uncle who was a SeaBee in the Pacific for most of the campaign. His group was building landing strips on small islands ahead of the main group and got bombed and shot at regularly by the Japs. He lost most of the hearing in one ear from a bomb that landed very close to his fox hole.
