The only think not periods correct is most likely going to be the paint. I really want to do it a candy brandywine over heavy grey metal flake. I even have the Lakewood 3 point bar!!

I like authentic Day 2 equipment more than most, but there is always a compromise. Either you have less safety for the speed you run or less speed in the name of marginal safety.
Sometimes the old copper and worse- lengths of plain rubber fuel line just aren't a good idea when the car is capable of 10 second E.T. |

Yeah. But CANDY. BRANDWINE was s popular color back then, More so on High End Exotic Drag Cars like Fuel Coupes , Gassers Altereds etc.
Especially seen on ISCA Show Cars / Drag Car entries.....no issue there because its not fogged or laced. Paul, 100% agreement here..... SAFETY OVER ,PERIOD ,,,,,,RULES EVERYTHING ! That's why my Cragar SS are New as are the LAKEWOOD Drag Shocks... Center force clutch assembly..... etc....all new neoprene high solvent hoses , NO COPPER or Aluminum Fuel lines except in the COOL CAN....... AND NO FIBERGLASS FLEX FANS !!!!

No sense in risking your safety as well as others because a specific part that is now made a hell of a lot safer is not "period correct" some parts you just have to sacrifice to make it more enjoyable! Yeah you're right about the candy, Jon mazmanian had a candy red vette and Willy's gasser. Also Fred Gibb had that candy apple red zl1! Thanks for all the help guys this is why I come in here to get some good advice! And I will be sure to post pics and a build thread! |

X2 - would love to know what the backspace is on those 15" x 8" rears. Those wheels and tires look fantastic on your car Tom. Is the rear suspension stock?

Cragar only makes 2 offsets standard I believe is 4.5(or 4.25) BS and 2.25 deep dish unless you get into custom ordered wheel. |
