I have used the RIT dye with salt, but only black over faded black. They need to be REALLY clean! The color stays well, but will dye the label and the plastic clear coating on the metal parts. Best way is to take all apart, dye, then restitch, sorry.
The fabric spray dye will work as a spot treatment, but Jason is correct, it gets stiff, but some working the belt will free that up, mostly, but used belts are never as supple as new webbing. Wow, I have not been up to Charlie's in a long time, I wonder how he is doing? ![]()
