Yes, his name was Jim. I was unaware of the pulling tractors but he had an old brick building behind his shop with some pretty rare stuff inside. I only met him once and he was kind enough to show me his cars. I'm guessing 1997-1998 time frame.

Jim passed in 2013. Yes, the cars were in a block building behind his shop. A 66 Hemi automatic Satellite convertible and the 64 steel nose Hemi 4spd Plymouth sat next to it. So, the SD was bought new by Jim? I just remember him saying it was a factory Pontiac race car. this was 1980

That time frame would have been about the last time my father talked with Roy Tope who was his contact inside IH. It was Roy who was friends with Jim and got us in to see his cars.

This was the Chrysler Convention at the Chelsea Proving Grounds in 1983. Jim drove it up to take in the show.
