Default LS3-Powered 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Custom

LS3-Powered 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Custom
Price: $168,900
Located in Seekonk, MA

Nicknamed, “The Barroom Brawler”- this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro LS3 Custom is absolutely sinister with its aggressive demeanor and upgraded features. As the VIN number indicates this vehicle was built in Norwood, OH as a 1968 Camaro Coupe with an 8-cyclinder engine. It was built by NextGen Performance located in Spencer, MA. It was the product of a rotisserie nut and bolt restoration that was started in 2022 and finished in 2023. Since completion it's been driven 860 miles. This first generation Camaro is in show quality condition throughout. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car directly from NextGen Performance in February of 2024. MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of $11,278.69 in parts and labor. June of 2024 is the first time it's listed for sale.

The exterior of this car has a serious presence and makes a serious statement. It's officially the meanest looking classic car ever offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection. The body was taken to bare metal and prepped. It was setup with a cowl hood and rear spoiler. It was painted in Candy Pearl Midnight Blue which is stunning. The paint was recently detailed to a high finish by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. Everything on the exterior was replaced new including all the glass which is tinted. The glass trim, wiper arms, front bumper, parking light bezels, rear tail panel and taillight bezels were painted semi-glass black. Some of the custom semi-gloss features include Ring Brother mirrors, RS front grill, Detroit Speed Engineering RS hide-away electric headlight covers, Eddie Motorsports billet door handles, LS embossed gas cap and Eddie Motorsports billet taillight assembly. It's equipped with Holley Retrobright LED headlights and LED taillights. It was dressed with custom ordered Forgeline Motorsports GA3C Concave wheels that have a graphite center and black lip. The wheels are 18x9 on the front and 18x11 on the rear. The wheels are wrapped with Toyo Proxes R888 tires that are 245-40-18 on the front and 335-30-18 on the rear. To accommodate the massive rear tires the car was outfitted with Detroit Speed Engineering mini tubs.

The interior of this car was completely re-finished from top to bottom. Most of the interior work was completed by Premiere Upholstery located in Southbridge, MA. The suede upholstered headliner was decorated with a LED dome light. The dash pad tops the painted dash with Dakota Digital HDX gauges, Haltech FI gauge, custom hardware and Jensen #MPR210 media player. A custom suede upholstered center console is home to the Vintage Air Conditioning controls, two cup holders and black machined shifter with leather boot. The door panels, custom front TMI contoured bucket seats, rear contoured bucket seats and rear package tray area was upholstered with matching suede and leather material. Some additional custom interior features include black door sill plates, Flaming River tilt steering column, Eddie Motorsports Racer black billet steering wheel, black door handles, seat belts, power windows throughout and custom carpeted front Camaro embossed floor mats. The trunk compartment was painted with a textured material for durability and dressed with a matching custom carpeted Camaro embossed trunk mat.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with all new parts. The backside of the hood was painted body color and covered with insulation. The hood pivots on Ring Brothers black aluminum hood hinges. The firewall and inner fenders were also painted body color. It was setup with an Anvil carbon fiber closeout panel and fender braces. It has a new American Autowire wiring harness and Detroit Speed wiper motor. The car is powered by a new GM Performance LS3 V8 with upgraded ASA camshaft rated with 525HP. The engine was setup with a Haltech fuel management system including Radium Engineering fuel rails. The engine was dressed with a Holley retrofit oil pan, Holley complete accessory drive system, Roto-Fab air intake system with K&N air filter and billet valve cover cap. The engine is cooled by a Griffin Performance aluminum radiator with Gold Case shroud and SPAL electric fan. The engine breathes through Hooker ceramic headers and a dual exhaust system with Summit Racing 304 stainless oval mufflers that exit directly below the rear end. The engine is coupled to a new Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission with GM Performance LS7 clutch. The power is transferred to the pavement with a CT driveshaft and Ridetech Quick Performance 9” Rear end with 3.70 gears. The power steering system consists of a Borgeson Performance steering box and Holley power steering pump.

The undercarriage is highly detailed throughout with all new parts. The underside was painted with a texture black material for durability. The sub-frame was powder coated black by Central CT Coatings. It was setup with sub-frame Ridetech sub- frame connectors for additional strength. It was outfitted with a new Tanks custom stainless fuel tank that is silver coated and designed to fit around the suspension system. The entire suspension system was ordered from Ridetech which includes HQ coilovers, front upper and lower Strongarms, Tall Spindles, bolt-on 4-link and front MuscleBar. It's equipped with Wilwood power braking system including the master cylinder, proportioning valve, front drilled and slotted rotors with 6-pistion calipers and rear 4-pistion calipers.
