Phil, My CANON PowerShot S60 (similar to S70,S80) has a Wide Angle Lens and 3.5 optical zoom vs most 5MP Cameras 3.0 ZOOM. Shop On Line for this and read Camera Reviews at sites like.....
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/ I'll be the first to admit I have far to go in learning how better to take pictures....but I can tell you from my recent Barrett-Jackson trip.....it is NICE to be able to stand relatively close to a car and have the wide angle lens capture ALL of the car.....
