yep...quite a conversion project @ Dana Chev! I think K. Suydam's 67 Dana Camaro started life as a SB A/T car too.

intake manifold installed at Dana Chev in 1969 ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Looks like an old "Grumpy" trick. He used to paint his engines black; claimed it helped dissipate heat. ![]()

I bet the radiator is the for comparison only. Dana would not give the radiator back. Even if they did it would not have kept up with the car.

Jason...the Dana paperwork indeed shows that the original owner got the take-off parts back, so THAT IS the original factory SB radiator!

I **think** I remember Bert saying the additional shipping expense from CA to HI for the loose take-out 350 SB motor was too pricey, so having no need for it...it was discarded. The original factory hood wouldn't fit in the trunk either for shipping to HI, so it's a gonner too. I'm experiencing the same riddle now...trying to arrange shipping for the "roller" car, while the engine is still on an engine stand...it nearly doubles the shipping quotes I'm getting.

Removing the piece of aluminum that separates the primary and secondary openings on the intake manifold increases high end torque. I thought the automatic tranny radiators had inlets for the tranny cooling lines?
