I agree Scott! I don't care if it had 5 miles on it. It became a race car! In my opinion that low milage just got erased.

Race cars are more desirable, look at the prices some of these vintage drag muscle cars bring in at the auctions. A factory hemi Cuda or a "Sox & Martin" hemi cuda? Race cars are in! After all a 327 Car doesnt compare to a 427 in value and a 427 car is more like a race car. So I would take a 427 race car with a story, than another 427 car that is no different than all the other 427 cars out there. How many of the same 427 cars can you see, the only difference is the color and the condition. The story behind a car is what makes them individually unique. I'd rather have a "Nickey" 427 car that was race with some race history than any other factory big block car. This is my opinion.

Take a look at this video and if this doesn't get your race car juices flowing nothing will.

I was just questioning the market price really not your perctiular car to get a feel of what they are bringing ,Iam looking at a all #s matching 69 396/375 car that has docs and also real low mile car .I thought the $$ was a bit high but maybe its very reasonable after all... I agree with your statement about the 427 cars but are u saying this is such a car??

Anyone can put a 427 in a car and then say it was an old race car and stuff like that, but those other race cars you talk of are few and far, thats why the bring big money. I would rather have an all original big block survivor then some car with a 427 and some iffy story behind it, but thats just me
