The terms are very generous, and you guys really caught me off guard with the nice gesture. I am hoping that the owner of the block will decide to let me buy the block only. If that happens, I will buy it quickly, believe me. Thanks again for the support guys.

If the guy doesn't want to negotiate the block only, then do one of two things, buy the whole works, parts out the extra stuff, or find yourself a run of the mill 454 block and swap everthing over and sell it. Based on experience selling off the extra parts will probably be the way to go though.
