------Its funny that you are from Berlin as I am from Medina and my dad bought a 41 Buick Roadmaster just like the one pictured new. Was the one in the pics white or the pale yellow (cream). My dads was cream. It even had the Tripp lights and fender skirts, but the skirts were stolen during the war. I dont have any pics here of it as my brother has all his albums. It sort of looks like whoever had it in your family had it during the war as well. I cant remember dad ever telling me where that Roadmaster ended up. I do know he drove it to San Francisco during WW2 where he was stationed before he went down to Australia, but I cant remember if he brought it back or not. I wasnt around quite yet!!!.........Bill S

It was my great uncle's right after the war. He had it for a while too. I'm pretty sure it was a cream color. It was his baby for the longest time. He still talks about it and even the Model T that he's standing in front of as a little boy. Cars of all sorts have been a big part of our family and I have a great appreciation for all of them.

Jay,

Welcome aboard. I grew up in Canfield just down Rt 224 from you and we had K **** N license plates too. It was neat back then as you could tell where a car was from just the 1st and last letters. Went to Berlin Lake with neighbors and crewed on their sail boat for regattas.

Jay
Welcome here and cool old shots too...
Ditto what Sam said about Ohio plates, our's were A***C. Akron area. My Dad always said it would be neat to drive out of the area to get a differant letter combo.
Do you ever go to the Friday cruise at the A&W in Boardman, or Saturday Night in Boardman ? I always pass through Berlin Center on my way out 224 to Boardman.
And as I pass the sign in Canfield I always think of poor Sam stuck out in all that AZ sunshine...

Cool Stuff
Mike

Hi, I'm new here but I had to join up and say that these are some of the greatest pics I've seen in a long time. I have some of my family's old photos here for you to check out. They aren't as nifty as a lot of the other ones posted here, but I thought some of you might enjoy them anyway:

Edgefind -- those are some fantastic pictures, thanks !
I sure can recall the baby buggy carriages our folks had us in .... HA
Some mighty fine cars there too, great to see ......

California, not PA. Looking east along old State Highway 4, or possibly Willow Pass Road. White sign on right shows straight ahead for Stockton, left for Pittsburgh's central busniess district and right for Concord via old Kirker Pass Road. (East Bay Area, 1/3 of the way from SF to Sacramento.)
