1112019 distributor
How can a 1112019 have a build date of 6G10
This unit allegedly has a CCW marked shaft?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...em=280266484817

Re: 1112019 distributor
Ask the seller if he bought the distributor "over the counter". Nothing in the add says it came out of a 70 Z28, just that it's for a 70 Z28. I sold quite a few 1111480's over the counter, I'm sure with non assembly line build dates.

Re: 1112019 distributor
I asked him to confirm the date, He stated that the date was 6G10 at a July build date it's to late for mine, I im just trying to understand the date, Given that distributors have different part numbers for different years, would the 6 then be 1976??? And if so wouldn't the part number be different, some sort of replacement number.

Re: 1112019 distributor
I enjoy the fact that the date is not mentioned in the ad. I also like the fact that his picture of the stamp code has a convenient reflection right over the date. It looks to be a service distributor to me since the LT1 engine was a crate engine directly from GM carb to pan throughout the 1970's.

Re: 1112019 distributor
I received an answer from the seller that the distributor was purchased new in the late 70's. Bidding seems high to me considering the date.
