Joe comes thru: My hood tach was sent out for rework at Auto Instruments recently and it was determined that the innards were no longer working and were unrepairable due to specific parts availability, so they put new tach workings inside. I asked them to address the yellowed face. They said that they could not access the inside face because of the Dixco assembly process where the lense was glued to the Yenko Crest bezel. Well Joe worked his magic when the hood tach came back to Donahue and the results are below. Mighty impressive Joe !! Looks great!

Looks good...I think Auto Instruments is telling you stories. The lense shouldn't have been glued to the bezel. The faceplace just pops on, and the lense is removable with small screwdriver. I'd be interested in those original Dixco innards they took out and claimed were unrepairable if they didn't keep them.

Yeah, that sounds like a story unless someone glued the bezel to the lens at some point. The bezel snaps on and off, and sometimes in half .

Joe is right the lense is screwed on - always removable.

Sam, I hope there is no spray through on the Magnum wheels, only on the XT wheel.

I totally agree. I think when they took it apart they stripped out the screw holes and just glued it back together. Looks alot better now.

Original Valve Cover Bolts (Schonye's fingernails are nicer than someone else I know )....

Mark, Luigi's is still in business and going strong, even selling their own sauce at Tate's supermarket in Clymer.
Joe, No pics with the stripes on. Earl shot a whole roll of film the day before we took them off. When we notified the developing lab that the pics had never arrived, they claimed they had gotten "lost". We've always been very disappointed about that.
Schonye, did you get a package yet? Went out on Tuesday.
Sam, so what will this car be known as now? Sam's Deuce(isn't there another Sam with a Deuce)? Griffith's Deuce? Sam Griffith's Deuce? I'm still trying to figure out what our new user name should be.
Earl says we ran the original wheels for about 3-4 years before putting on the Ansens.
Earl and I were talking about the tach the other day. He said that for some reason every time he turned on the headlights on the car the tach would drop about 200-400 rpms so he disconnected the light in the tach.
That Schoenthaler family sure is a good team!!!
