Shelby picked the Tri-Y headers for 2 reasons: 1 - they were cheaper than 4-into-1 Long-Tube headers. 2 - they are specifically designed to increase torque from idle to 4500/5000 RPM

Somehow the Chevelle SS escaped the muscle car era without a rear spoiler. When it comes to the rear spoiler, the only ones that I think look good were the ones used on the 1969 GTO Judge and 1970 GSX. All the other looks like something bought out of a J. C. Whitney catalog. And that includes those used by GM (442 & GTO), Chrysler and Ford.
