I got a revelation....For next years SCR if you didn't show proof you drove your car at least 100 miles that year or made at least 6 -1/4 mile passes, you can' participate. How many would be eligable?

I've got a folder on our Yenko Camaro that I've thrown just *some* of the ET slips it's collected since SCR1 (the car's first time on the track)...I just did a quick count, and there were over 130 crammed in there! Most are from actual events, as I don't keep a lot of the slips from Test'N'Tunes because I have charts that I log the slip info onto and then toss the slips, and I have *yet* to have the car out to the track this year! So I'd *conservatively* say that our yellow Camaro has over 200 passes on it in a about 6 years...

Here's what I do with my cars.

I have a fully restored 1967 Camaro RS I take to shows and I'll admitted it, it's a hanger queen and I like it that way. I am not a millionaire and I work hard for my money so I want this car to last a little longer.

When the mood arises I have a 1981 Z/28 350 4 speed car that I drive the snot out of. Not an expensive car but a whole lot of fun to drive.

In between these 2 cars I am collecting parts to build my 1970 Z/28 into a Day 2 car. Since it will not be restored correctly that will be my next, run what you brung and have a great time doing it hot rod.

But the bottom line is that it's your car do what you want with it and have fun doing it. Period!

Now, excuse me a minute while a go harass the neighbors with the '81. Be right back.

Rick H.
