Re: News from the Auction front.
Rob,
Can you share the scope of the paperwork you mention regarding the White Yenko Chevelle. Is there a special story behind the Cowl Plenum cold air induction set up, which is on the car? |

Re: News from the Auction front.
you can look up the aution results here....
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/aucti...ts/default.asp Was there a 67 Yenko Camaro there? I don't see it in the results All they showed on the Deuce was the grill as it came up behind the Yenko Chevelle. |

Re: News from the Auction front.
Nothing too special, Stef, just a short list of Y-Chevelles that went to Friedly in Iowa, and his car was on it. From my understanding, that was the only documentation the car had.

Re: News from the Auction front.
Rob, Towards the end of the Auction they were RUSHING the cars thru--the NOVA was auctioned off during the commercial, I was almost going to bid on it at the end but by the time I paid the fees and transport and Full tax plus paint and stripes well I passed. After the TV coverage there were still alot more cars to be auctioned off. The '68 YENKO Camaro was rushed thru and the Seller was upset as people were still bidding on it and there was no reserve and it went for only $98,000. Phil and I talked to him after the auction and he was Not happy about it. Reggie was MAD after the ZL-1 and he didn't seem to care about the Yenko Chevelle, he probably should have talked alittle more about the YENKO as he does talk them up good.. As for the Allan the English Announcer he FAVORED anything Foreign and during the commercials he acted as if he was bored and he evened yawned. I think they should have a seperate announcer for the Amercian Cars.. The hit of the show was Don Johnson, he was very friendly and funny.. Also they would cut away to commercials due to the fact that a couple of times there were fighting on the stage over mistakes on price and in one case an owner bought his car back at the last minute as he felt his car was going too cheap... I'll be back next year again as it is an experience to be there. Mark
