After a bit of research, I I believe the hubcaps are factory installed.

Those are very cool. I have never seen them before either. talk about a quick change in appearance in only minutes!

I think you could get them at Pep Boy's, Sears and Penney's also. Probably even the Whitney catalog. If you came to a hang out with those on your car, everybody knew you had no money for Mags. HA!

----1st came on Cyclones in 65. They are very cool hubcaps. Its very hard to find a good set that hasnt been curbed. Dont let go of them......Bill S

Interesting info Tom. I really don't know much about these Cyclones but I'm really digging this car. Big block, 4 speed, posi in a relatively small car has to be a good combo.

I found a full set of those chrome hub caps in the trunk of a 65 Comet Cyclone I bought years ago. It was a 23,000 mile one owner car that I bought from an estate sale. Now all I have left of it are these of out of focus pictures and some good memories.
