A few more from the November '66 and April '67 Hot Rod magazines.

Found these photos in the October, 1957 Hot Rod.

Article titled "Oakland Strip Star" featuring Palamides Automotive sponsorship and early Palamides magnesium wheels on the rear. Car was owned by Pete Ogden.

Close up of Palamides bolt-on mag wheel.

Also in the 10/57 issue was a feature on the then-dominant slingshot dragster campaigned by Emory Cook and Cliff Bedwell. The Cook & Bedwell car used Palamides magnesium wheels out back. Driver is Emory Cook, who showed Don Garlits how to modify Stromberg carbs for using nitro.

Close up of C&B rear wheel, this one a knock-off. Note logo for Bruce's Tires, an early maker of slicks.

And, also from this issue, an ad for Bruce slicks featuring the Cook & Bedwell car.

Any recommendations for who to use for the restoration of a pair of original Torq Thrusts? Thanks

Thank you! Now I know what those Mark II wheels are....CRESTLINE..

I always felt they were a 70's made piece....67 is even better...
