Steve,
I have a copy of that same piece. Look back at my picture of Kim's car and you'll see the Gibb and Harrell names are reversed. The cover is an artist's rendering of the actual car. Also notice the difference in the decal placement. I'm a graphic artist by profession and I can tell you through experience "Never believe what you think you see." Frank/Rick,

I can't post the shots of my car here. Read the thread title; "Vintage CAMARO Pics." Don't want anyone thinking I'm trying to pass it off as the World's Fattest Camaro. (Yes, I said FATTEST; not Fastest!)

ORIGLS6:

I'm thinking your last picture (https://www.yenko.net/attachments/36727-fgcars.JPG) "might" be from their trip out west? If I'm not mistaken, in tow (and visible) is a '68 funny car, I "think" Little Hoss(?), the "Paddy Wagon" (not sure about the history of that!), and it looks like a couple of other cars. Seems like I've heard of a trip out west of 5(?) cars, all red in color, which included a '68 fc, Little Hoss, and a '68 Chevelle in the group. Dad is, ironically, working on the funny car as I type or I would ask him, so some of you Gibb and Harrell guys help me out here...

Probably right Rob. That's definitely Hoss and the Paddy Wagon behind the FC. I even recognize the trailer that's hauling Hoss. Just wonder what's on the trailer behind the FC hauler.

I don't think those palm trees in the background are native to the Midwest.

Must be the 1968 AHRA WinterNationals trip (late Jan '68). I think the '67 Funnycar was the one on the trailer. There were to be 4 cars, the two funnycars, Little Hoss, and a Chevelle stocker. The Chevelle was also red with a black top. It never made it, as it arrived at the dealership too late for the trip. It never did make it to racecar status, as it sat at Dick's shop and eventually was bought by Dave Libby's brother. It was the sister to the Joe S. Harrell Chevelle. I wonder if this may be one of the first shots of Dick's '68 funny? No black top yet. I am not sure if he had both funny's there, as an article I have indicates only one funny and Little Hoss made it to the Winternationals. Dick had to lease one of the funnys to a friend. Maybe it was brought with for the lease arrangement.

ORIGLS6,

Those pics are great, havn't seen them before.
