Now I'd bet on the "CHEVY II TUFF" Nova just because it has the 5.13 gears and with the dana 60 The Nova can launch at any rpm with out blowing the rear out!

I'll throw my opinion in too. I have a 70 Nova with a 427 in it. Not quite an L88, but close. It is a blast to drive, so I would lean towards leaving the L88 in the car. Do what has to be done to get the original driveline and store it. When (if) you ever get tired of the big incher, put it back to all original. In the meantime, beat the crap out of it.

How many people are going to ooooh & aaaah over an obnoxiously lettered up, hillbilly suspensioned, wanna be drag-star that nobody ever saw run?

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably as many people that oooh & aaaah over a primer colored car with an anemic small block and skinny little "girlie man" tires.....

Tommy

[/ QUOTE ]

Ha! Put 'em up TommyBoy - let's have a race I have it on video of the ooohs & aaahs from last years SCR - 13.505 at 104+mph on those skinny whitewalls

Go back to stock with this thing, it's got paperwork, orig. driveline can be had, and it's a cool color - leave the 'redneck racer' look in the past where it belongs!!
