I couldn't agree more. But man, I wish they had put more effort into the look of the sidewall, lol. I've been especially fond of my Cooper whitewalls over the years and LOVED the 3/8" thin strip they made years ago. I ran those on my Park Avenues and LeSabres.

White letters is a 70’s thing. Some cars came w/ them. If you don’t like the letters, mount Black out, I got Cobras on my TA. Their already over 10 years old. When I flopped them onto a mint set of rally’s, 2 tire shops wouldn’t touch them. Throw always, I’d never but expensive tires on a summer car again.

They are probably fine tires but I (any many others evidently) don't care for how they look, especially on an otherwise stock original/restored car. I'm struggling on tire selection right now on my Chevelle as there are just not many good options for a 15" radial tire out there besides Cooper and BFG - neither of which appeal to me. Might have to call Rusty......

----Have been putting Cooper 15 inch 5/8 white walls on my beater Caprice wagon for the 12 years I have owned it. At 1st there were choices but as the years went on I was down to Cooper, and that was good as they are great tires. It's at least possible that Goodyear bought Cooper so they could supply dinosaurs like me with new rubber. That would just be a guess.....Bill S

A Cobra RWL labeled with the classic Goodyear script would be a win

Cooper brands include Cooper, Mastercraft, Roadmaster, and Mickey Thompson. The company has about 10,000 employees around the world and 10 factories. The combined company will have about 72,000 employees and 56 factories around the world.
The deal will strengthen Goodyear in the United States and will nearly double the company's presence in China, the Akron tire maker said. Adding Cooper increases the number of relationships with China automakers, the company said. |

Yes it would, but they may not see that. Small script early Eagke ST with the little Eagle would work.

Yeah that is sort of what I hope happens with Goodyear buying Cooper; that they produce 14 and 15 inch raised white letter tires with the Goodyear name and Eagle ST with the little eagle head or even Goodyear and Eagle GT in outlined white letters.

----As a big corporation I would think that Goodyear could use Cooper as a source for updated original looking tires for older vehicles, and be really strong competition for Coker. Wonder what Rusty has heard in regard to this info?......Bill S
