Thanks, 6pkrunner, for the front end picture of the car, but where'd it go? It appears to have disappeared. Any chance of getting it back? I didn't know what my hood was supposed to look like until I saw that picture. I was hoping to print it and put it in my folder. I'd appreciate anything that could be done to get it back.
We've had a few people express an interest in buying the car, but no one has made an offer yet. I'm a little reluctant to name a price. I would think that most of those interested in purchasing the car would probably know better than I what it's worth. Advice? I still wouldn't mind keeping the car even though I still don't know what I'd do with it. I've been asked a few times what I paid for the car. I didn't want to say, but I guess it doesn't really matter. I recall paying $2,400, and Willy threw in a set of '67 440 heads. It wasn't intended to be an investment, but it seems to have become a pretty good one. Don't forget, Mopar Muscle December issue.

Magic story Dog...thanks for sharing w/ us!!!

Note some of the old shots have '70 hideaways and some the '69 nose..
Dick probably dumped the heavy '70 nose and ran the '69 parts for lighter weight but are the '70 hideaway shots later?.

It's great the guy had Dick give his blessing on the car before he passed away...wonder what's happened since as Landy's already been gone for a year and a half or so already?.

DG RCKS!!!

Very neat.... Just to have been there when Landy was approaching the Charger.... very historical moment.

Great stuff!

Dan.

Those photo's were taken sometime after Landy owned the car, but before Willy T., the previous owner, had purchased it. It doesn't say anything about the different front end treatment.

He did explain how the current front was damaged -

A friend towed the car for me many years ago. He clamped a tow bar onto the bumper, which we didn't realize at the time, was acid-dipped. He didn't use safety chains. When he pulled out into traffic a little too hard, the bumper ripped and the tow bar came off. The car rolled down a slight hill and hit a small tree. There's about a 3 inch impression in the bumper and the bracket behind the bumper is bent. The hood was also damaged, but I wasn't too concerned about that because the previous owner had already cracked the hood back by one of the hinges. I have a new bumper and brackets but they'll need to be acid-dipped. The grille and headlight door assembly had been removed so it wasn't damaged.
