And the umps and commish let the Rays tie the game in ridiculous conditions last night before suspending the game. They never should have started the game let alone the 5th inning on! It was raining on and off during batting practice and the radar was filling in fast and moving right towards Phila. Now both teams lost their best starters to crap conditions. It should be a 2-1 game stopped after the 4th inning and not a 2-2 tie in the middle of the 6th. Nobody wants to win or lose the World Series on a rain shortened game so I agree with the commish on that one.

At least, nobody wants to LOSE the WS on a rain shortened game. I just heard it's all postponed to Wednesday night now..

Three and a half innings last night to end the World Series was bizarre. Major league baseball has to address the issue of the home-plate umpire. He has more power and influence of the game than any other official in any sport. The strike zone is a joke. It's time for balls and strikes to actually BE balls and strikes rather than left to the discretion of a blind man!

Professional tennis has taken a step into the 21st century and now it's baseball's turn!
