How many of these things were built? This one has stripes, so it's not the same car.

An interesting paragraph on a dealers website that may or may not explain what happened here:

"Be forewarned that if you are gullible enough to purchase an <u>illegally molded copy</u> of Mark Towle's Mach 5, you are certain to experience legal entanglement with the Mach 5 franchise and experience the total loss of your investment! Makes sense to me. Thanks . I would actualy love to have one.........callme sick, but if it was drivable legaly and not a kazillion dollars...........I would fire one up.

The pictures I posted are of Kit body on an '86 Vette. No reason you couldn't drive it anywhere, although parking it might cause some headaches. Ever bend a chin spoiler?
