Thanks for all the positive feedback, fellow SYC'ers. I know the 68 isn't a high horse muscle car, but it has most of it's original parts, it rolled off the line with. The folks at HMM are great to work with. They approached me at Musclepalooza in upstate NY a couple yrs ago, to do a feature on my 68. It's quite an honor for me. They didn't get down here to photograph the car until this past fall, when they were in the area for the newly located Musclepalooza, near here, at Raceway Park/Englishtown, NJ.
They found out about my newly restored ElCamino, and decided to photograph the Elky too, as long as they were here. They want to do a restoration series on it, so I sent them a bunch of restoration pictures. Not sure if or when that will be published. I'm sure the restoration features they do, require much more writing, layout time, etc. Anyway, thats how this article came about. Thanks again for the comps. It means a lot coming from a bunch of supercar folks. |

Just a great all around guy that is a straight shooter. It is getting to the point that when Bill restores a car everybody wants to see how he going to top the last one he did. Can not wait to see the write up on the El Camino. I know it is going to be great. Bill did they change the one picture or did they use it?

Bill did they change the one picture or did they use it? Mark Sheppard [/ QUOTE ] Yes Mark...They changed the serial killer pic, to a pic of me, my wife took a while back, of me working under the hood of the Chevelle. Not a real good pic, but certainly better than the one Hemmings took. |

Thanks Albert, Grady and Rick. It means a lot coming from you fanatical car guys. Back to work now. I'm pulling the motor out for a repaint/freshening up. Also ripped the roof of for a more correct top.
I ordered the new roof from SMS, which I should have done in the first place. Should be here in 2 weeks. ![]() ![]() |
