You can use the typical "Car Show" methodology
ONE of ONE 20000 made 300 had consoles 200 were datona yellow 100 had Wide Oval tires 50 had an L78 25 had a red interior 6 had an underhood light 1 was built on the first Tuesday before the dark of the moon. By the way, no documentation but I have 82 signed owner statements. Super Chevy in Houston this year. A guy with a hugger orange COPO clone. As I was looking at the car a bystander asked him if it was a ZL1. He said no. It's a ZL2 as this was the iron block version. I started discussing the car with him and asked if it had a BE rear end? He said no, it's a 12 bolt. Two weeks ago I saw the car at the Corvette and Chevy show here in Houston being represented as a real COPO.

Extrapolation isn't perfect, but what other estimating method is there? My '69 BB Pace Car has Canadian documentation showing shoulder belts and chambered exhaust. If I use extrapolation to try to figure out how many Pace Cars had either of these options, it's single digits. It seems, however, that a disproportionate number of Pace Cars had shoulder harnesses, and chambered is not uncommon on Canadian Pacers (maybe GM was trying to use up the discontinued chambered inventory by sending it to Canada?). Extrapolation is a starting point.

</div></div> One of none? </div></div> Yep, take any highly optioned car, especially one with an uncommon option, like fold down, and an uncommon color, and start multiplying out the percentages. You will end up with one of less than .5, or essentially "one of none". |

It's not the actual accounting but it will be a reasonable estimate. Example: if half of a production run (50%) came with a certain option and only (10%) came with another option, it is reasonable to assume only 5% came with both options. </div></div>
This would be statistically incorrect, as the 50% would have been taken from the total production, as would the 10%. Hence, taking the 50% sample and then applying the 10% figure that was initially derived from the population (total production) would give you an F in statistics class. By the way, I received an F too at some point, but this I know to be true. |

Great site. Awesome story on the JFK (?) ambulance. One thing IS statistically correct. If anyone is going to find and sell a 1 of 1 car it will be BJ. They have an endless supply...
