Can't we all not get along. I kinda miss the crabby old days of 15 pages of arguments.

Actually someone started detailing..Subframe was pulled and restored. Engine had what were supposedly dealer installed aluminum heads. During detailing the heads were pulled and the iron ones re-installed, engine painted etc. It ended up in resto jail for a few years till the owner went and pulled it out unfinished. He then apparently sold it as is. Nothing is hooked up under the hood and stuff needs redoing under there. Way too nice of a car to restore though. I'm told it has orig. carpet with several snaps in the carpet to hold down what was supposed to be a extra piece of carpet that straddles the trans tunnel ?

Very cool Nova. It would be interesting to know the sequence of how the aluminum heads were switched out. Any way to find out if it was done before the original owner took delivery of the car? He may have an interesting story to tell.

I know I have read about it before and I most likely commented on it. I have a family friend that worked as a gm mechanic in the late 60's and said he installed multiple sets of aluminum heads on car's when they were new? He said it was very common. Just my 2 cents.

Very nice car Charley. Hudiburg Chev is still in business. The family also has several other dealerships here in OKC area.

So... not trying to stir things up, but did you buy this car from Ralph (the guy who posted it for sale back in 06)?

Also, did he in fact have twin L78 Green/Black Novas?
