Default Re: Rumour that this is Ford Shelby's last year 2014 ?

I know looks are subjective, but I always thought the II was just a couple of details away from being a decent little car. The wheels are too small for the body, which makes it look like it's sitting on furniture casters, and the 5mph bumpers are poorly integrated into the design. Fix those two things, and the II isn't such a bad looking little car. Especially the fastback.

People throw a lot of criticism at the design. It's unattractive, or downright ugly, or just horrible all around, but I've always thought those opinions are based more on horsepower (or the lack thereof) than the car's looks. If Ford had offered a good 4V Cleveland/Toploader set-up as an option on the II from the factory, I bet a lot fewer people would think of the II as "ugly". The II lost enough weight from the previous generation that even the de-tuned 351CJ from '73 would have made it faster than just about any other contemporary domestic production car, short of maybe the SD Firebirds.

But that isn't what happened, because Ford Logic.
