Re: Canuck finally finds a 68 Camaro in Corvette Bronz
Nice score!!! Is it a cowl plenum car or open element? If open can you look and see what style the screen print is on the bottom side? I would like to add it to my data on the air cleaners.. Beautiful car and it is cherry as can be..!!.. Needless to say I am jealous.. Congrats!

Open element Air cleaner, picking up the car in two weeks, will get back to you.

Re: Canuck finally finds a 68 Camaro in Corvette Bronz
Very cool car!!! Is that a extra cost color??
My neighbor bought a 68 Camaro when he got back from Nam in about 70-71 and it was that color. His was a 327 4 speed with the stripe that wraps around the fenders and header panel. A year or so later he swapped engines with his buddy's 69 Z-28. The 302 was heavily worked and sounded nasty. Ron

What is the zone number and dealer code Paul?
I only recently figured out that my black Oregon Z ( zone 19, dealer 361) came from Owen Chevrolet, Hood River, Oregon.

You know something's up with the world when the Chevy people are buying W-Machines and W-Machine folks are buying Chevys.

Re: Canuck finally finds a 68 Camaro in Corvette Bronz
Here are some updated photos of my 68 Z. I spent the 3 months since I bought the car correcting a lot of Underhood items, cleaning and getting the car in street worthy condition. The walnut wheel and bumper guards were added by me.
Next to my other pride and Joy my 71 W30 convert. My spare is a 215-70-15 Goodyear Blue Streak Police Radial. I had a set of these in 1973 that were on my first Camaro in FR70-14. They were an awesome tire.

Re: Canuck finally finds a 68 Camaro in Corvette Bronz
My favorite color for a 68. I have seen several in person (rode around in a 68 Z this color in high school). One of my friends here in the okc area has one now. I have NEVER seen a picture of one that did the car justice. I don't think it can be captured on film or by digital camera. So, all you guys wondering what the big deal is must see one of these in person to appreciate it.
Congrats. I'm jealous.
