Default RICH (MR. CHEVY) 1967 IMPALA SPORT COUPE

Although not a muscle car, I think this is a pretty cool ride!! I recently purchased this vehicle in July of this year from the original owner. The car lived two doors down from me!! My neighbor approached me in July asking to help him with getting his old Chevy started. I went over to his house and got the Chevy running.. He told me that he was going to sell the car. After looking closely at it I realized what a gem this car was!! I told him I was interested in buying the car and we made a deal. The next thing I knew I was the proud owner of a cool, one owner 67 Impala. Funny thing is I was really not looking to get another car.

My neighbor bought the car new from Brooklyn Chevrolet in Cleveland, Ohio. when he got out of the service.
He stated he was really looking for a 67 Chevelle SS 396 car but had trouble finding what he wanted. He stated he saw this car sitting on the showroom floor of the dealership and bought it. The car was driven to Los Angeles, California after the purchase and towed a U Haul trailer all the way back to Cleveland, Ohio with his personal belongings after getting out of the service.

The car was only driven in mild winters until 1971. My neighbor would then only drive the car on nice days. He really pampered this car.. The odometer just turned 38,000 miles. I have the protecto plate, original owners manual and some other interested paperwork with the car. The engine and transmission have never been out of the car. My neighbor had an alarm system on the car that I removed. He also added some minor chrome pieces in the engine compartment. He also removed the stock camshaft and installed a crane hydraulic camshaft a little hotter than stock. This was done with the engine in the car. He also had headers on the car at one time but removed them and put the factory original exhaust manifolds back on. The car runs very good. The car retains it's original sheetmetal.

The car is all numbers matching and has it's "born with" drivetrain which is a 327 cubic inch 275 horsepower, four barrel carburetor, powerglide transmission and dual exhaust. It has a Bolero Red exterior, black vinyl top and black interior. The rear end gear is a 3:08, 10 bolt rear end. The chrome wheel moldings were added by the original owner not too long after the car was purchased. Those were unique to Super Sport models only. The wheels and tires have been changed. The car originally had full wheel covers.

I have been driving the car to local shows and cruise nights and having lots of fun with it!! I plan on getting photos of the original owner (my neighbor) and myself together with the car.. Enjoy the pictures...

ALL ORIGINAL UNMOLESTED TRUNK. ORIGINAL MAT. SPARE TIRE WAS NEVER OUT OF THE CAR.

I THINK WAS A PIECE OF CARDBOARD FROM THE FACTORY UNDER THE JACK MAST??
