I have had the COPO for a couple of years and not sure how long Tony N had it. This is how I got it!

Detroit Michigan will do that to your car.
John Obeginski (Obie) bought this car new from Chumbley Chevy in the Detroit area. He lived in a trailer park off Ecorse Rd in Belleville MI The motor and trans sold in the 70's. If you bought my engine and trans please let me know so I can put it back with the car . It was raced at the Detroit Dragway and Milan maybe someone remembers the car.

Actually this car was put away in 1971 (!) with 9000 miles and stored in a small shed adjacent to the trailer park (the Obeginskis owned, and still own a trailer park complex in Belleville, a few steps away from the Willow Run plant where I used to work).

The shed's roof began to leak just above the centerline of the front fenders, so the core support and front suspension are considerably more rusty than the rest of the car.

Nah... looks fairly typical for anything this age in the rust belt that was driven on salt covered roads in the winter months. There are definitely lots of cars like that in PA. You guys down south don't know just how good you have it!

Check out the spring spacer too

She is in Great Hands - Owner and Restorer :-)

I like how the previous car - without mentioning the car - got the boot off the Rotisserie for the COPO

For those of you new guys this is not Jeff's first COPO Chevelle
