Last night, I went to look at the second car described in my post. Fathom Green, '69 Z-28. Been sitting since 1983 in garage with leaking roof so there was an inch and a half of water on the floor in some parts, rat droppings and garbage everywhere. Car has a 1980's Gale Banks' built 350 with a Turbo on it currently in the engine compartment. Non-matching DZ 302 is in the shop wrapped in plastic (short block only), interior is thrashed, with added tilt column and radio area of dash cut out. Appeared to be replacement quarter panels on the car as I could find no numbers near the trunk weatherstrip channel. Otherwise, body and floors appeared pretty solid. Incorrect 8 inch ralleys. Most all important engine pieces (carb, distributor, alternator, exhaust manifolds, Smog, etc, are missing). All that said, he says he has an offer at $15,000 and will hold out for closer to $18-20k. I guess he will be holding out a LONG TIME. The car did share its rat's nest with a '66 SS396 Chevelle convertible (orig 325hp/Powerglide car) and a '73 Z-28 LT-1/TH400 car. Both of those can be bought also, but you can probably guess that he will want more than they are really worth.

"I' have red with red standard interior z28 project I would consider selling matching matching motor and rear missing trans"

- I would be interested in talking you about this Z-28 project or anyone else with a Z-28 project. Please either PM me or email at [email protected]

Thanks

The one in the pic appears to have comfort weave seats in the front

They aren't really comfort weave, but rather some custom material from the 1980's. The whole car has a lot wrong with it, so it is one I am definitely passing on.

Looking for a good original drivetrain '69 Z-28 project. Thanks

Does look like comfort weave? Maybe someone changed front seats as there is no dash wood grain on Rt. Side. Also, looks like it had 4 speaker stereo?

It does look like comfort weave, but in reality it is a custom fabric, much more like a soft cloth than a comfort weave. The Seller told me the door panels were also a "custom made" material to match the seats. As the trim tag shows, it is supposed to be standard interior. The car has way too many things wrong or missing to justify his $18,000 desired price.
