LOVE the fastback Nova!!

firstgenaddict, you mentioned it was a replica.

DW31S, you mentioned it was in a magazine and a great find.

What magazine and who owned it before the Dixie Twister replica?

Think they mean the Falcon. Recently found and in a mag.

The Fastback is neat but appears to be built from a Hardtop (not convertible) with a too steep rear window with roof "trails" on the trunk lid. Originals roof was a straight line to the end of the trunk lid. Very fluid.

Any more pics of "Sour Kraut"? Engine? Looks good.

Those Fastback Chevy II's are just wild freaks.

Anyone have a good source on their history?

Thanks for the info PAul, I knew something didn't look quite right about it, I talked to them for a little while however I had failed to remember to ask if they used a coupe.

Search on here for Fastback info as there was a lot of talk a while ago, mainly the Alan Green car. They were originally meant for road racing with all their mods: lightweight fiberglass where possible, front suspension geometry changes, big brakes, rear Corvette suspension, engine set-back... but as the story goes this changed after the GM '63 "ban". The 3+ cars hit the drags and over time (most?) went to solid rear axle, altered wheelbase, ...
