Wow ... What are the friggin odds. There are tons of knowledgeable people here that can offer you plenty of directions to go with chasing paper as well as a bunch that will post photos as long as you can e mail them to them. I look forward to hearing more of this tale

Charlie and his 68 Z28 in the front yard and at Great Lakes Dragway 1968. The car can look like this again, but he never will!! That's age for you. Will post current pictures as work progresses.

Same car different year. We have it pretty torn apart now after the fire. Lots of British Green turning up under the blue repaint, 350 going away.

"The car can look like this again, but he never will!!" How true for all of us. But getting behind the wheel again will at least make you feel like you are 20. Great photos, thanks for sharing them.

Kind of fun for your thread, here is some Fencl Tufo memorabilia for you to see. The first are original dealer decals. The top one that is orange and white and is most likely circa 1970. This is the one that Charley's 70 1/2 Z28 Camaro had on it as well as the Hugger Orange 1970 Yenko Deuce that was sold there. The red white and blue one is most likely circa 1980, maybe came out in 1976 with the bi-centennial hype?

Wow Frank! Would do anything for that jacket. Thanks to all for the encouragement. The onlooker in that engine photo is our 82 year old cuz Angelo who is still building awesome street rods and drives truck everyday. Never quit, never quit and never quit. Scored correct engine and heads for the Z. Talked to a guy at Ill. DMV who loved the story after being kind enough to listen and he is willing to try to follow our only paper lead to date. Car guys are everywhere, what a great fellowship. Will post as we progress. Also have a great pic of The Z,57 Vette and 62 Vette owned by our bro in law. All three British Green cars .The 57 is still owned by our buddy Louie after 48 years and he shows it around Chicagoland. The 62 was white But our brother in law liked the green so much he had it painted. I think that pic was in 1970. I'll get my son to post it when I get a copy.
