to someone that saw it in person, There was an electric looking box in the trunk, what did that do? Also was the body mounted that high above the subframe or did it raise up?

I believe the trunk housed motors and hydraulics which raised and lowered the car as well as rotated the internals of the drive trains and possibly the front ends/ engine assemblies where changed as part of the original display articulation. None of which remained with it when Mark acquired it.
